Oscar nominations are out. Typical year where the Best Pictures nominated nobody outside LA and NY has seen. Looks like another crappy ratings for the award show.

The only movie with any sort of mass appeal was Gravity.

More Hollywood garbage I haven’t seen and won’t see.

I will probably watch Gravity at some point but I make it a practice to avoid films with Steep, Hanks, and Roberts.

The animation nominees as a group are better with Frozen, a Miyazaki flick, and Despicable Me 2.

Streep and Hanks I avoid. Why should I avoid Roberts? Not saying I shouldn’t but its hard to keep up with these lefties.

That’s not a bad bunch in the BP group...no embarrasing pop films to get teens interested.

12 Years a Slave will win everything except Best Actress. Judy Dense will win that for most Anti-Catholic role.

A Jackass film got an Oscar nomination. This further reinforces my opinion that the Oscars are irrelevant.

Time to give Leonardo the Oscar.

A limited number of quality films this past year IMO. My favorite by a pretty good margin was ‘Rush’ which unfortunately suffered from the ‘racing movie’ tag, followed by ‘American Hustle’. The effects in ‘Gravity’ were good, but the screenplay seemed like something a film student would come up with.

It was pretty good to watch in 3D.

Time to give Leonardo the Oscar.Time to give Bruce Dern the Oscar.
I do think DiCaprio is a pretty good actor though.

Jennifer Lawrence stole the show in “American Hustle”.
Special effects were the only thing “Gravity” had going for it. A predictable bore.

I've seen exactly one of these movies. Its was nominated for best sound mixing.
Definitely three hours I'll be doing something else.
