You know what I never understood about “I dream of Jeanie” was how come the feminists never wanted to ban and/or boycott the advertisers on the show.

I mean you have a dumb blond that dresses in a harem costume who lives in a bottle and comes out takes orders from her male master.

At the time “Jeanie’’ premiered there was no feminist movement. The first season premiered in 1964 in black and white because color tv didn't come out until '65. All the shows of that era were in black and white. "The Wild Wild West''(one of my favorites, along with "Combat'' also in b&w), ''Gilligan's Island'', "Gun Smoke'' "McHale's Navy'', so many of them.
