My ancestors were vikings, they forcibly removed lots of people. I’m proud of my heritage.

The people that were here before the Europeans arrived were not the first, besides that though... do you have Jesus? Thank a European.

Amen, only turning ourselves over to Jesus is the answer.

You’re right about the entitlements, around where I am in Alberta, it’s terrible. I’m saddened by the “slaves” to government everywhere I look.

That is a popular myth based on looking at some bones and then needing to write a paper. It beats having to write on the pottery shards

There is no memory of cannibalism among the Hopi, Zuni or other Pueblo folk

Being a descendant of Pocahontas is something to be proud of, and I really mean it.

Just about all the first families of Virginia were descendants of Pocahontas. That includes the incomparable, Robert E. Lee.

We may very well be related.

My Great Grandfather was a Byrd. In a very long story he changed his name and fled to Florida leaving a large family behind. His father was a professor at Franklin College in Athens, Ga.

He raised another large family in Florida.

Yeah, I remember they found the remains during some Army Corps of Engineers project. Intial testing showed they were a couple of 1000 years before the ‘natives’. They were going to do some more extensive testing and the natives complained that the ACC had disturbed a sacred site. The ACC caved and put them back and covered it with a few 1000 tonnes of rock.
