20 years...that’s a good long life for a cat.

Your post showed me that feral cats are not as impossible to domesticate as I thought. Interesting.

Although I am a dog person by nature, I love all animals. I have a feral kitty that I have taken care of outside for nine years. She was never one to want to be petted...just a food thing (hey, I’m a realist,lol.)

I did all I could to convert her to an inside kitty during those 9 years to no avail. About 7 months ago, a couple of months prior to the “last of the pack” ancient pup’s death, she moved inside. I was, and still am, somewhat shocked.

Even more shocking, she has become very affectionate and I find her to be really smart. How in the heck does she know what “no” means? lol Never makes a mess or causes havoc.

She shows no interest in being outside...AT ALL. I guess things had to be her idea...not mine. I guess things could always revert back so I’ll just go with her flow.

I guess what I’m sayin’ is, it is possible for a feral to make the conversion. (even with a dog person)
