I probably feel that way because that's what happened to me. Twice.
But I guess they can catch crooks -- if the crooks victimize a cop.
Not a great omen for lady cops...
Why didn’t she keep her gun belt on until she got home??
Oh... never-mind! :^)
We miss you Gilda...
Stupid criminal file
At least that article had the time correct. Today’s Dallas Morning News has a short blurb about it today. The title stated that it happened in the early morning, while the text went on to cite a time “around 3:20 p.m.”.
It gets better when you can identify the perp and show the point of entry and they won’t take fingerprints or interview said perp. Then you sorta get get a little bit aggravated.
I have the feeling that if I had been robbed, the cops would have interviewed me, taken some good notes and told me they'd call me if something came up.
Around here, they wouldn't even have taken good notes.
You would get a lecture about all of the things you could have done to avoid the robbery, though.
Female cop carjacked with a boxcutter?
It didn’t match her outfit?
If you're going to steal a car belonging to a cop, at least be intelligent enough to steal a license plate off some other car to put on it.
Only a day to catch the robber of an off duty LEO. Had it been a citizen who was robbed the original incident reports would still not be filled out much less turned in.
I think that the answer to that question is that the details always get lost, and the main fact is what remains. And to be fair, the question must be revised this way- Armed female cop carjacked with a boxcutter?
The lady badgemonkey was NOT armed.....she was accosted by a thug with a boxcutter, said thug stole badgemonkey’s car.
Badgemonkey left her badge AND gun IN said vehicle for the benefit of thug. If badgemonkey had actually been in physical possession of her weapon at ALL times said thug might have been ventilated. Now Mr. Taxpayer has to pay...twice. Once to try and incarcerate the thug and secondly for the ongoing salary of a useless badgemonkey.
And all the anti gun nuts tell us “we don’t need to carry, we have the nice police to keep us safe”. Give me a Break!
