Eric Johnston acted like he wanted to end his life through a police gun. Either that or he was deaf and dumb. He did not make any action that would indicate he was capable of responding to anyone. The woman could have given some clue as to what was his problem. Drugs like Bath Salts?

His face is covered by the gun, but his steps were very slow ... sure did not look like a threat ... except maybe himself.

Wasn't that the concern of the lady ... she was afraid he'd hurt himself ?

So why does a cop, wanting to help stop harm ... perform harm ?

Isn't that called a cop-suicide when folks seem to WANT to be killed by a cop? I forget.

If he ingested bath salts he would be puking his brains out...not wielding a knife and walking towards a cop.

He really was too stupid to live.
