I’m taking the Broncos for the win, followed by the 49ers in an upset over the Seahags. I truly hate to root for a team from San Fransicko but plenty of friends and family are 49ers fans so I’ll go with their flow and cheer for the team without supporting their city.

On a separate but related note, I’ve always wondered why an NFL team doesn’t have 2 quarterbacks on the field, one taking the snap and the other - perhaps a running QB - available to get a pitch or handoff and have the ability to run or throw. It would force the defense to try to cover for a lot more options and would seem to provide an additional “out” for the primary quarterback if he’s getting pressured in the pocket. Simply dish the ball to the secondary QB and let him make the play. FReeper thoughts?

Back in the good ole days, the Cowboys ran a play pretty often where Staubach would make a short lateral to the fullback (Newhouse at the time) and he would pass it.

I haven’t seen any team do that play in recent years. I don’t watch football like I used to...so I could be missing it.
