I think a lot of crimes are unsolved due to corrupt cops, prosecutors etc. Also a few incompetent ones.

Kelly Seigler worked in Houston DA's office for a time. The case I most remember her for is the one where the wife stabbed her husband numerous times in his sleep and dragged his body out behind the house and buried him under the concrete patio. /Husband was a big old guy and the wife a tiny little blonde who looked like she couldn't overpower a wet noodle.

Seigler received a lot of criticism in the press when she brought in the mattress that the man had been killed on and had had someone from her office lay on the mattress. straddled the guy and proceeded to show the jury how the wife had stabbed the husband numerous times (it was a lot of times) blow by blow.

They got a guilty verdict, she's quite the Texas girl!
