I’ve been hearing these commercials on the radio. 1 in 6 Americans go hungry. We are supposed to donate because there is plenty of food for everyone in the nation. Won’t you help us feed hungry Americans?
I finally found a number and called to see where the hell they found this statistic. Of course they didn’t know. (Feeding America I think). They seem to base the statistic on the 45+ American’s “in poverty”. Really? Those in poverty are hungry? How do you explain all the food stamps those in poverty are getting? Those in poverty and/or those that go hungry need to find a welfare office. They are already getting all the money out of me they are going to get for “the hungry”. I might feed a soul every now and then over a sammich and cup of coffee. But I don’t hand out cash. That’s now the gubmnt’s job whether I like it or not.
