He wasn’t fired for wearing the jersey. He was fired for leaving and not going back. Who are these loser parents who insert themselves into their kids lives. If the stupid father hadn’t stuck his nose in, the kid would still be working.

If he knew that wearing it would cause problem, he was wrong. However, if a co worker of his had a Jacksonville Jags (does anyone?) wore one and didn’t told tn go home, he should get his job back.
