after the left’s vengeful vicious attack of Sarah’s baby, did you expect anything less?
I was just outside with Husky girl, and the temperature has dropped from 45 this AM to 34 now-and intermittent sprinkles are falling-water, not snow or ice, and I hope it stays that way.
we are up to 22 right now. ice remains firmly frozen. dangerous to walk out there.
Just hit our high of 22 for the day. Booo winter!
Husky girl was delighted to be out in the cold-duh-running to the end of the leash toward the slope to the riverbank. Since it isn’t freezing(yet)I walked down to where the vegetation gives way to rocks and pebbles nearer the water, but no further. I’d brought a small bag of bird seed along to throw on the bank, and doves and other birds were landing just feet from us to get some, so the dog was adequately amused without dragging me onto the slippery rocks by the water...
Brrr! 22 is supposed to be our low tonight-it is still above freezing here...
It is pretty in a desolate way by the water-the evergreen cedars and laurels, the birds in the bare deciduous trees, brown grass and the sound of the rapids just upriver-but I’m ready for spring all the same...
I think I’m reaching my fill of winter now too.
Saturday will warm up to the high 20s, but bring another 2-4 inches of snow. Then back to single digit lows ans below for at least another week.
I am going to need to get more salt blend for low temps.
I baked my cookies yesterday and stopped for milk on the way to my meeting. Yes, we had milk and cookies. I ran 20ft. to my car, then 5 feet from car to store. I got into the store and picked up some milk, but it felt warm. I asked the clerk if it was cold and she said yes. My hands were so cold the milk felt warm to me. Got home later and it was -1, before adding in the wind chill.
