Anyone watching this? Seems scripted. Leno throwing softballs....so far.
Boner says — I heard your show was ending and thought I better get in to see you before your show ends.
Leno responds — I thought the same thing of you.
I was hoping Jay was going to sandbag him but he handled him with kid gloves. I guess Jay only goes after conservatives...
I watched it, (sort of).
I forgot to pay close attention.
You should have seen the way he interviewed Ted Cruz..was more of an interrogation than an interview. I like Jay for going after Obama(Especially Obamacare) but that interview with Cruz really rubbed me the wrong way
I didn’t see the live show, but from the reactions I’m reading, maybe J. Boehner asked Leno to ask him on. The new old Rino reaching out across that ever-widening aisle between leaders and go-alongs.
here’s hoping leno is correct. down with no-balls boner.
Did he start balling yet with snot bubbles in his nose?
I watched the show and have read all comments here through #9. ....Here follows a bit of a rant.
Boehner did not embarass himself in any way.
I’m more upset about the FReepers here who constantly refer to Boehner shedding tears, as though that is something bad.
I’m a hetero-male and 71, and I will often cry at a good rendition of the National Anthem, or Amazing Grace, and even popular songs from the 1950s-early ‘60s. Music and the words often bring up memories and that brings the tears.
I think it’s ridiculous for so many people to demean a man for tearing up or crying about an emotional event.
I believe all of the FReepers who have made fun of Boehner for his tears have also had their moments as adults when they have shed tears.
It is not the weeping/emotion. It is that he has demonstrated he is a drunk with limited intellectual capabilities and courage.
I don’t think it’s the “tears” thing. That’s just something else they can bash him over the head with. The real problem with Boehner is that he is perceived to have caved on major conservative issues and completely failed to stop a renegade presidency. The impact isn’t just the destruction of conservative representation in congress, the impact is the destruction of our nation. That is how serious Boehner’s failures are for all of us.
If there was ever a time to fight now is that time as our once great republic is crashing and burning right before our very eyes, but milquetoast Boehner is more interested in golfing, drinking wine and smoking cigarettes and being a member of the good ol boys club.
Reince Priebus should be ashamed
of himself as Chair of the RNC.Has anyone seen the very poor showing of
Boehner on the Jay Leno show. The GOPe needs to reflect themselves in a mirror
and realize that they appear to be drunken fools.
