“The Oxford English Dictionary will soon be forced to add ‘double standard’ as a synonym for ‘tolerance.’ “

Oh man, is that ever post of the decade material.

I’d LOVE to here a Conservative politician use that in a debate someday:

“See, I hear you say diversity, but what you mean is double-standard, right? This is how, in your world, cutting veterans benefits while increasing benefits to illegal aliens works. That’s right, isn’t it?”

Outstanding observation.

While you're correct, it's pretty established that Fraternities get screwed every which way if they fall out of line.

A bunch of guys living in an off campus location might have some legal recourse, but get a charter and put letters over your front door and it's the equivalent of putting a bulls-eye on your front door. For example, in NY i can roll kegs into my house and throw a party till the cows come home. If a fraternity house has kegs in it, the school will probably suspend them. In addition, they are violating state laws (not to mention most likely invalidating their insurance policy).

Unfortunately too many fraternities live up to the stereotypes so it becomes harder to defend the good eggs.
