Don’t be so negative. EBT is at an all time high!

So true, and so tragic.

Like most Americans, I support a safety net for the truly needy, but it has become a predators net that has now ensnared not only those who take, but all of us who pay.

How can we ever turn this spigot off, or even turn it down, now that it has been going full blast for 5 years?

Moreover, our government really doesn't care about making sure those who earn food benefits are rewarded with them right now. It cares about making slaves and controlling as many people as possible.

Case in point: military Commissaries, both here and overseas, are under assault by the Federal government. These provide groceries to military and military retirees at a reduced cost (although in recent years the "savings" reported it said to be way down due to increased prices):

Pentagon Proposes Plan to Gut Commissary's Budget - Jan 22, 2014

So we see the contrast: gut money to people who earn it, but turn on the fire hose of giveaways to those who sit on their increasingly large derrieres.
