More frequently, you have to apply online and then the application is scanned for key words. Only if your resume has enough of the key words they are looking for does a human look further into your application. I think this is especially true in the tech fields.

The nice thing about tech fields is that demand is still high and recruiters will fight over you to get you a job.

What stinks is still having your phone go off 5-6 times a day from recruiters your first month on the job until everyone gets the word you’re off the market.
