You got that right. And the story lost all claims to truthfulness when it got to the part about all the wonderful, clean, bright fast food joints in England in the 70s. I guess they mean the awful Little Chef roadside places and scummy Wimpy Bars.

I guess they mean the awful Little Chef roadside places and scummy Wimpy Bars. No I'm pretty sure they were placing the blame on McDonald's. It's so funny, just like guns magically pulling their own triggers, fast food restaurants force people to gorge themselves (and between meals at that)!
