Here's what my options look like after I've connected to the remote satellite (what they call it) and logged into the virgin website:

A lot of campgrounds offer free wifi now, but the speeds on this gizmo are always better, and I feel safer staying off the open network.

So it looks like the $20 is a Walmart exclusive but is still available and is for 1 GB of data for 30 days. I’m looking for something for my mom so she can have internet at home (or wherever) but doesn’t have to get hooked into a contract. She doesn’t watch much video, mostly just does email, so I think 1 GB would work for her.

How easy is it to connect to the “remote satellite”? Was the initial setup pretty straightforward?

I also see that Verizon/Walmart have a Straight Talk plan for wifi hot spot that’s $15 for 1 GB/30 days. That’s even a little bit cheaper but I wonder if their customer service and that sort of thing is as good as Virgin.
