As thousands of homes were left without power during the recent storms, engineers were diverted to fix a simple problem at David Camerons home.
Two workmen were part of a team battling to restore electricity to 11,000 houses in Oxfordshire after storms and floods left families shivering in the dark.
But they were suddenly diverted to the PMs £2million family home after he lost his power while watching the Sound of Music on TV.
George Faulkner and Alan Paton told BBC Radio 4 they were diverted to a house in Chipping Norton which was later confirmed by their company to be Mr Camerons home.
They arrived after a 17-mile diversion to find the blackout was nothing to do with the storms and power could be brought back simply by flicking the trip switch in his fusebox.

That's about right for him.
PM of Great Britain and he doesn’t have a back-up power system for his residence? Really? Given all the high-tech info/communications systems he must have there? Huh?
Plan A to defeat the overlords if and when their plans for world hegemony are set to commence. Simply do not help them deal with the mundane tasks of re-setting breakers, refueling their vehicles, cooking their meals, washing their clothes, wiping their a$$e$, stocking their shelves, etc.
When they begin to die off, let them.
He didn’t lose power, he tripped a breaker and was too stupid to flip it back.
So Cameron’s like the After-Prince of England. He gets the royal treatment minus most of the pomp. I would say like Obama, but the O and the Mo get royal treatment plus OVER two times the pomp as Queen Elizabeth and Old Philip.

Woo hoo!! And the first 28% is in!! Thank you all very much!! |
So he could watch TV? I doubt that it’s that simple.Britain’s Prime Minister has ultimate command of at least one sub armed with nuclear missiles. It could certainly be argued that, given this authority,he must have all means of communication open to him at all times. Thus the need for him to always have power wherever he might be.
The UK PM doesn't have any staff at the house? He doesn't have some 20 year old Army communications guy ensuring he can reach people in an emergency (and who would likely have enough sense to know how to work a circuit breaker even if his idiot boss didn't)?
Why would he need to be in constant communication with his military forces? They’ve only got one big boat and all the land forces are beddy-bye by 9:00 .... who the hell would bother to attack them ... the French in a rear guard action?
how are those windmills working out?
