sorry, but we each should pay our own costs, as long as we can anyway, before asking others (directly, or through the government’s taxing powers) to pay our way for us.

you die either with or without an estate.
your heirs either inherit a lot or a little or nothing at all....

they have no right to inherit anything, and you certainly have a duty to maintain and try to recover your own health while you are alive (!!!!)

as a couple of potential heirs have said here (as their beneficiary’s assets erode due to medical and nursing home expenses)... “either there will be something left over for us, or there won’t — we did nothing to earn any money from him and we have no right to receive even one cent inheritance..”

you are correct, and I agree for the most part- except that this hideous law is just goig to proclaim your stuff as theirs, eventually.

The most mad I ever made someone in my life was some lady at the hospital complaining how they had to sell her aunts house to pay for her nursing home... I said that she just wanted to sell the house and keep the money and let the taxpayers pay for her aunt... you would think I had hit her she was so mad.
