I had withdrawal when we decided to go streaming but was so pissed at DirecTv I got over it in a few weeks (don’t get me going on Dish...please don’t re-sign with those evil bastards... I have them on tape, a MANAGER, telling me that they’ll “charge whatever they want” without regard to packages/deals).
I wish I’d been prevented from buying smokes for 60 days the first time I quit; might have made a difference.
I hope many others follow suit (cancel satellite/cable); it needs to happen to cut the heads off the lib media.
We cancelled DirecTV in 2008. They called daily for weeks, trying to entice us back with bogus *special deals*. I still get a monthly snail mail plea from them. The manager I spoke with was also snotty.
Will never go back. We are in a valley and get poor OTA reception, but Netflix w/Roku for streaming and 1 DVD at a time and Hulu Free on my monitor, plus You Tube, are all we need. News online and various conservative talk on the radio. Do not miss the sat TV at all.
