When did they stop making Buckhorn? It was Olympia’s budget brand, IIRC, and about the only good thing you could say about it was that it was no worse warm than cold.

If I’m going for a lot of low conductors while metal detecting, I’ll usually get at least a dozen of those suckers in various states of disarray.

Interesting sub note, from my finds, it appears that it was some type of local habit in the Oakland area to pull the leaf off the ring, or curl it over into itself. In either instance, it creates a signal that says “recover me!” far better than a straight, whole tab.
