...y, por su puesto, los stagiaires siempre son muy cansados cuando sus turnos han terminado.

...And, of course, stagiaires are always very tired when they have finished their shifts.

If you attended more frequently you would know that we are going bilingual on Tuesdays this year.

And I guess because I normally do not bother with grades, but your submission was outstanding.

Dang blasted crown snapped in half last night and fell out at Bible study. On my way to dentist soon. All I can say is this is better than sinus problems. Oh, and it snowed again last night, just enough to have to clean off the car yet again.

That crown is not just a dental fixture, it’s like a jobs program.

Dave, as it happens, I work pretty intensively fr/roughly 6am-10am, so can only occasionally drop in.

Hey, I'm all for bilingual efforts: I live in Panama and am (pretty seriously) trying to learn Spanish. Neat idea.

Like I said, xs, 'trying' to learn Spanish. Tell me, please, re 'ser' vs 'estar' why 'estar' is used in non-temporary situations such as

La iglesia esta al lado de rio.

They presumably don't move the church every so often, do they??

I am not sure there’s a logical explanation in every case for those things, you just end up having to know when to use it in certain instances. You could avoid it by saying La iglesia queda al lado del rio. My spanish is rusty. I took it from 7th grade all through HS and majored in it in college. Also did two stints in Colombia, SA, in college, doing a research project and living with a family. These days my only use of spanish is talking to my cleaning lady and my lawn guys. Embarrassing!
