LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC Police were able to arrest three teen burglary suspects after following the footprints they left in the snow, which was on the ground from the winter storm.
Lexington County Sheriff James R. Metts said two 16-year-olds and one 14-year-old were arrested Wednesday morning.
Deputies say they received a to a call around 1:50 a.m. Wednesday from a homeowner near the Coldstream subdivision in Irmo who reported hearing a car burglary alarm go off.
Once outside, the homeowner saw footprints leading from his car door to the road and saw three teenage suspects.
Metts said the homeowner remained on the line with 9-1-1 dispatch and continued following the footprints. A responding deputy met with the homeowner, and eventually found one of the suspects on Gilmore Road.
The homeowner identified the teen as one of the three seen outside his home.
Officers were able to find the other suspects by following their footprints.
Metts said police believe the suspects broke into six cars and one garage.
Not only do we not know how to drive in the snow....
Huh. Same thing led them to the Invisible Man.
"This may very well be the stupidest person on the face of the Earth....perhaps we should shoot him."
“Bless that happy day,
When Nellie lost her way.
I found her when the snow was on the ground.”
Back when I lived in MI, a kid robbed and killed his neighbors one fine winter’s day. Can you guess how they figured out who did it?
The world is filled to the brim with idiots.
Cops have a saying, “We only catch the dumb ones.”
Sounds to me like the idiots who robbed a Burger King on a snow mobile and then left tracks all the way home.

Very good LV! I also like the Flatt and Scruggs version.
