Greeneyes, I had heard the same thing. Chlorine evaporates, sunshine sterilizes. If you can draw the city water into buckets and wait 24 hours, then water your plants, it is even better. I’ve always had well water so I have no idea what they put in city water.

It depends on the city. Some of our city water smells like rotten eggs. It also tastes icky. Not sure why and not sure why it’s not city wide.

What I hate, also is to go into a restaurant and take a sip of water that smells and tastes like bleach.

But I do know about the bleach thing, cause my hubby the biology major is alwasy reminding me of it.
