Willie and Korie Robertson attended the recent State of the Union speech -- and stole the show, with dozens of members of both parties meeting with and talking to the classy and entrepreneurial couple before the main event.
But not everyone was happy with the presence decent country folk in their nasty world of politics.
During NBC's live State of the Union coverage Tuesday night, chief White House correspondent Chuck Todd sneered at Duck Dynasty stars Willie and Korie Robertson being Republican guests at the event:
"...after the shooting with Gabby Giffords and for a couple of State of the Unions in a row....There was more of a dignified feeling about the guests that you would invite. Boy, you can tell things are a lot different now, when you're inviting Duck Dynasty stars."
Apparently Todd did not find it "undignified" that Obama and several Democrat members of Congress invited illegal aliens to the speech with them.

Unbelievable, these people get more absurd every day. I’ve never seen a single episode of Duck Dynasty but they look like a perfectly nice couple to me. From what I’ve read and heard they are decent, smart, hard working people. The whole family.
And what does Gabby Giffords have to do with this? I’m sorry she was shot by a creep but taking away the rights of law abiding gun owners would not prevent a single gun tragedy and being a victim does not make one dignified.
Oh, speaking of undignified, did these liberals who are so concerned with dignity see that sloppy, lecturing, clomping linebacker of a first lady holding court?

Giffords was not shot by a conservative. She was shot by an extreme left winger. I have never heard an undignified word from Willie Robertson. Let me give it my best shot, though: GFY NBC.
Yes, most of the shootings are committed by left wingers. The media fails to mention that. She was mentioned in the article and I was just wondering why being a victim of gun violence automatically makes one dignified. And I second your GFY NBC.

Korie is just a stunningly beautiful woman, and just like Sarah Palin, they just can’t stand it! And, they are terribly threatened by the notion of beautiful women like the Robertson ladies being attracted to and actually marrying a bunch of rednecks that shoot (and eat) animals. If you were to list the top 10 things that drive liberals absolutely nuts, Duck Dynasty does ‘em all! And that’s why we love it ;-)
