Dang, who’s got XP anymore. I probably would but I like W8.1 and W7. Works for me.

I have XP and it works great. It does everything I want and need. I am used to its look and feel. It’s like a great pair of broken in jeans. If there are no holes in them and the pockets hold my wallet, comb, and keys why put on a new stiff scratchy pair?

Dang, who’s got XP anymore.

Almost a third of all users. Entire corporate enterprises use XP. ATMs use XP. It is a hugely successful operating system that is about to allow massive security breaches all over the world.

LOL! You're funny.

I'd like to see you try and take my wife's XP laptop away.

Say, is your organ donor card signed? How's your pancreas? Just curious.

My entire hospital has Windows XP. Upgrading from XP in the medical community has been a challenge because of the many specialized applications that are wedded to Windows XP. It finally began changing in the last several years as vendors realized that time was running out on them.

There is a huge logistical tail involved. We have been trying for a few years to be able to upgrade to Windows 7 64 bit in my department, simply because the memory benefits were huge to the radiologists...we were hogtied performance-wise due to the memory limitations of XP.

But there is a LOT of money that has to be thrown at it throughout the institution.

I have a shop filled with CNC machinery, inspection equipment, and other hardware not supported on the new OS. XP has been rock solid for nearly 10 years running all that equipment. Now, if someone would like to give me about $400,000 for some new machinery send me a PM so I can give you my address...
