Maayong gabii, Alex.

Appreciate your input, but I never asked that question of you before ...,

You're on the outskirts of a tourist area (I think) ... do you have ISP service at your home?

How prevalent is ISP in the Ph ?

What does it cost ?

All my outlaws use a cafe because they are essentially illiterate and don't really have a need nor desire to 'pute

Hi, old boy...There are numerous ISPs in the Philippines.
I have a DSL and telephone line from Globe. I pay a little under $30 per month for the phone service and unlimited internet.

For those that live in the boondocks, Wireless internet is available via the numerous cell towers. Everyone from early teens and up have a mobile
My town has a WiFi service, but I have never used it.
A Belgian guy that I brought here is using it, but it seems to have problems.
The internet cafes are still available for tourist and those that have no computer.
I would not call my town a tourist area, but there are plenty of expats from many countries living here, but that is true all over the Philippines.
