I bought an HP laptop from Walmart and have a program that makes it feel like Win 7. That said, from what I understand (I spoke with HP), they are planning a release of new ones with Win7 due to the dislike of Win8. You may want to call and check on that.

No one should fear buying a Windows 8 computer which has the main problem of no start button plus when you boot up you don't see the traditional Windows desktop

All you have to do is download and install a free program that will give you  back the desktop and start button. Been there and done this.

I d/l a program so I would have the start button and the W7 feel. I sometimes hit the windows key and have to deal with it and keep getting it by accident. So, I restart and all is well. lol
