The Tyranny and Lethargy of the Times Editorial Page
New York Observer ^ | February 4, 2014 | Ken Kurson

IT’S WELL KNOWN AMONG THE SMALL WORLD of people who pay attention to such things that the liberal-leaning reporters at The Wall Street Journal resent the conservative-leaning editorial page of The Wall Street Journal. What’s less well known—and about to break into the open, threatening the very fabric of the institution—is how deeply the liberal-leaning reporters at The New York Times resent the liberal-leaning editorial page of The New York Times.

Totally agree about Friedman. He is a living joke. Think of an issue. Now think what Friedman will say about it. I can write it for him. Embarrassingly predictable and total absence of critical thinking.

Very interesting article. I found the fact that the Times couldn’t even drag its favored candidates over the line (in a town where only 22% of the registered voters bothered to vote) to be particularly interesting.

It’s gotten, as various reporters said, more strident and less well-written and engaging, particularly in its editorial section.

Maybe the left will finally do itself in simply by being boring.

Mark Steyn, who is sitting in for Rush today, can go on about Friedman the fraud. Sample:

I am still reeling from the mental image of Tom Friedman with pink hair.
