The video of a close call between two transport trucks and a snowplow in Northern Ontario that earned 1.6 million views on YouTube.com has led to charges being laid against one driver.
On Jan. 4, officers with the Ontario Provincial Police detachment in Nipigon responded to a report of a motor-vehicle collision on Highway 11, in Greenstone.
The driver of a north bound tractor trailer rounded a curve and came practically face-to-face with a south bound tractor trailer that was attempting to pass a snowplow.
To avoid a head-on collision, the driver of the north bound semi was forced to the side of the road, colliding with several guard posts before coming to a stop.
The driver of the south bound tractor trailer unit continued south without stopping. The dramatic, dashcam video of the incident went viral on YouTube.com and was provided to police by the the north bound driver.

Whoa!!!!
LOL
I assume he had a spare pair of clean under wear in the glove box...
Idiot driver. He deserves to lose his license immediately.
I put dashcams in my cars. You should, too. Homeless jumping in front of your car (to score lawsuit points for their new scars).
Drivers rigging insurance crashes.
Drunks. Stoners. Cell-phoners done bashes.
Dash-cam, dash-cam, dash-cammmmmmmmm.
The enlightened drive with dash-cams.
*sung to the tune of...
Last winter, I was driving my car through a major thoroughfare when this truck’s back end came crashing down in front of my vehicle. The thing is, I don’t have a clue as to where this truck came from because he wasn’t there a few seconds earlier.
If I had a dash cam, I might have been able to answer that question.
That driver’s screams are heartrending.
Any recommendations on model/supplier of dashcam systems - and what do you like/dislike about yours? Hey now, be prepared for questions since you mentioned it, LOL.
They are about $30 on eBay. They all work great, so no need to spend more.
Excellent, a bad driver will face justice!
Which one do you have? I’ve been thinking about it.

Which one did you get?
Go Pro cams are just not for Russian cases of insurance fraud. We have been forced into a world where everything requires proof as there is zero truth anymore.
Honestly, the guy appeared to only be driving 90 MPH when he rounded that corner.
I have seen worse... look for LocoCam footage of head on train collisions.
If one knew the spacing of the guard rail posts one could figure the speed.
I bought an Abeo clip on mirror from Amazon for 100 dollars.
Made in Taiwan with good instructions. Clips over the rearview mirror and provides a 2” screen while acting as an autodimming mirror. Has a G sensor to detect impacts and good video quality.
Was his name Hugh or Rick? (Ice Road Truckers fans)
It looks a lot better than the 30.00 web cams! There will be lot on ebay to choose from so any names would help. Do they have a USB to PC connection?
Thanks - I know there are lots of bargains out there, tho I try to stick with recommendations (as well as avoiding the bad).
