Looks like those of us in Aiken County will be in the thick of it.
I echo your reply #4. I live in a pine forest. Hope the pine trees can take it. Haven't had any real trouble since the ice storm of Feb, 2004. That knocked out power here for four day and destroyed lots of beautiful pine trees.
Oh, before I forget... :)

The Weather Channel’s Jim Cantore arrived in Columbia Tuesday to head live coverage of an impending ice storm that’s supposed to hit the Midlands late Tuesday.
For many folks on Twitter, it’s an omen that the weather situation is serious.
For others, it’s another weather celeb in town.

I’m up the road a bit, outside Leesville. My biggest concern is the trees. I can make it without power but prefer not to have a hole in the house!
If I was you I’d go over to Shealy’s and load up on some BBQ. Hate for you to go hungry.
LOL!
Actual conversation at work this morning:
Me: Get any snow up your way this weekend?
Friend: No. Only 4 inches or so.
Always good eatin. Jackie Hite’s is good too.
At most he might have to dodge falling tree limbs or walk across a slippery road!
I spent 3 years in living in the lower Hudson Valley of NY and before that 6 years in NY, so yeah, I now what you are saying.
Problem here is we don’t have the plows and salt, though we do now have enough to keep the Interstates open. That plus we are expecting, according to latest warning 1 inch of ice. That bears freaking out over. These pine trees snap when covered with ice.
Is Ben Tanner still as regular as we are?
Spartanburg co schools are closed tomorrow & we haven’t even had one snowflake yet!!
“last summer had 30 days where temp of 90 or above”

That’s what we call a cold front in summer.
Well, I still think this will be the test of M’s “snow scheds”. Hope they work for all your sakes.
I wonder what the USC students are planning for him. Can’t let the C of C students have all of the Glory.
Mrs. Gamecock works at USC. Will keep you posted if she verifies a Cantore sighting.
At least people are staying home:
