I know you're not serious when you pose that question. But the left likes to make foolish inane comparisons of current events to historical happenings to take advantage of the historical ignorance of low-information types in order to pursue its agenda.
I personally saw Jackie Robinson play baseball and my mom had an opportunity to shake hands with him a few years later. So, as one very knowledgeable of that history and Robinson's legacy and impact on the country, it's obvious to me that any comparisons between Robinson as the first black major league baseball player in the modern era, and Michael Sam as perhaps the first "openly gay" NFL football player, are typical of a leftist's perverted thought processes and, furthermore, disrespectful to the late Jackie Robinson and his achievements.
Ironically, Jackie Robinson was a staunch Republican and an active capitalist. Today the leftists would call him an uncle tom.
