WSJ sports had his performance evaluated by draft gurus and they weren’t very positive. Too small to play lineman and to slow for linebacker. Didn’t compete well against top level talent in Senior Bowl.
This way he’s got an out. Let the lawsuits begin...
That’s what this stunt is immediately about. The guy was, at best, a fourth round pick, now he can try and leverage the leftist orthodoxy to try and eek out getting drafted a few picks higher. The tragedy of course is that in this selfish appeal, he is further debasing our already debased culture.
In the end, this is all a speculative play by him and his agents to try and get this kid drafted — at the expense of everyone else.
That’s what I noticed watching his film highlights. He’s big for an end or linebacker in college, but boy does he look slow and lumbering. Fast enough to be on the line, but not big enough to push anybody around or break free.
