He said it’s a shame how in African-American culture “ignorance is championed,” and the importance of education is downplayed. Too many people don’t want to look smart, he said, because that would mean standing out.

When I saw Do the Right Thing, it seemed like it was written by a conservative. He isn’t, but at times he can cross over.
