On October 30th of 2013 I had a revision performed on the left knee in Evansville, IN. It has now been 3 1/2 months and the pain just will not go away. Have done everything I was told to do with no results. Try to get a referral from my doctor in IN, but got no help. My problem is I now live in Manchester CT for the next 3-6 months. I need to find a local doctor that is well respected and competent. Couldn't think of a better place to find one than right here on FR. All suggestions welcome.

I’d just soon use a chainsaw.
Dr. Daniel Veltri
360 Tolland Tpke, Manchester · (860) 649-0063
Specializes in sports medicine, but he takes everyone.
Three of my children have gone to see him and I have no complains.
The waiting room is always full - I guess that’s a good sign
Read Dr. John Sarno’s books first.
If you haven’t yet tried Anna’s Restaurant and Pizza, it is worth a trip there.
Sorry, I have no input on orthopedics there.
What’s your address?
I have two Stihl and a Poulan with an 18” bar.
I don’t mind sharing.
I had the worst luck with those I took them back and the counter guy said let me ha e my tech look at them he. Took them in the back and wtf I asked what’s that racket. I had no idea you had to start them
who made the knee...what company mfg’d it???
You have to go to an orthopedist who specializes in revisions. Not a sports medicine or general orthopedist. Revisions are one of the hardest procedures to do, not many orthos like doing or treating them, especially when you are fresh post op from another physician. Call the biggest ortho group in town, ask if you can have an appointment with a doc who does total joint revision.

LOL!
He is the best around and gets things done with the least after effects. He had me running again within 2 weeks of arthroscopic surgery on my knee.
Hartford, CT is close enough to NYC that you should make an appointment with a surgeon at The Hospital for Special Surgery (”HSS”) if your insurance covers the cost. In just about every survey, the HSS is by far the best hospital in the Country and one of the best in the world for orthopedic surgery. From personal experience, I agree 100%.

“who made the knee...what company mfgd it???”
DePuy was the original knee. The revision entailed replacing all the parts, but one.
Thanks to all who responded by posting or private mail. I know have some ideas. I knew I could count on my FRiends.
