It's all relative. I'm only of medium built but I could walk into a male figure-skating locker room and instantly establish myself as the alpha male. For the same reasons, a mild-mannered 300-lb linebacker can easily get intimidated in an NFL locker room - or a high security prison rec room (it can be argued that there is little difference between the two).

It is unfortunate that a hostile bullying environments is allowed to exist on a professional football squad. Only simple-minded insecure people engage in bullying. It should be stamped out and not tolerated by mature adults.
