Yeah, I didn’t see a crime either. But, hey, if they “felt afraid for their safety” by all means, call the cops, file a report that a grumpy old man swore at you and disparaged your cookies. Basically, my point was that even if they had a reason to be concerned for their safety, they’d already taken the only necessary steps to make themselves feel safer (well, other than the obvious one that you and I would have already been doing, but that’s beside the point). Once they had reported it to the cops, case closed, move on about your business. Drama mama really over-reacted. But then, I can’t imagine breaking down in tears just because some grumpy old man swears at me.

Actually, I wasn’t the one who called the cops. Another lady did.
Also, we were leaving the area after the tirade. And, when your child gets screamed at and called names in front of you and you see them frightened and hurting...well, it breaks your heart. That is why I cried. I felt sorrow for another human being, forgive me.
As far as drama mama...Talk to the pregnant lady who ran after him in the parking lot, called the cops and every news channel in San Diego.
