A mother dog and her six puppies were found abandoned at a mobile home Thursday while Jackson County deputies went to assist with an eviction. All the dogs are at the Jackson County Animal Shelter.

“They do not appear to have been mistreated.”

The dog and her 10-week-old puppies, which are all a mixed breed, appear to be in healthy condition, having good weight and playful personalities.

I found this one in the weeds outside my fence a few years ago.

Turned out that it managed to worm out of the kennel next door where its mother was.

No I took care of it for the day till my neighbor came home. Its full grown now and the neighbor says he’s still an escape artist.

photo 100_0121001copy_zps2fc17c32.jpg Maybe 10-15 years ago someone dumped an expecting momma dog off at my place in the country. She turned out to be an excellent dog. Still don't understand someone just dumping her. These are six or the 8 pups she had. They were all cute as can be. I put up a sign and had no trouble at all giving them all away except for the black one with the white feet. Each time I gave one away, momma dog just about couldn't take it. She would try to follow the vehicle. He was just like his momma and loved killing rattlesnakes. One day he just disappeared, I still have no idea what happened to him.

Looks like a pure bred Beagle. Do you live in GA? Lots of Beagle breeders there have trouble with escape artists. My first dog, over 50 years ago, was a Beagle. If he got out he could be gone for over 3 days. Never had that problem with a Lab or Great Dane.

This little guy found himself in a similar situation last week.

Our rescue got him on Wednesday and he had a home by Saturday morning.

I always give my two dogs a hug whenever I read stories like this.

My big dog was found in the gutter where someone had tossed him out of a car, my little dog was given to me because he was unwanted.

Both are great, incredible dogs full of love, play and licks!! I think they understand that they were rescued and are grateful.
