Happened to me in the early 90s, before obamacare. In Idaho, I paid $65 per month for Blue Cross, including drugs. When I moved to Seattle, same policy would have cost me $1250. I would have been paying for 19 other people in WA, just myself in ID.
And THAT’s how the obamacare fiasco works. Can you pay? Fine, here’s a bill for you and a dozen other people. And don’t forget that your policy covers less and less every year for more and more money.
Somebody please repeal this mess, start over, repair the healthcare system, top to bottom. Please.
The only options that our current batch of politicians are offering for “repeal” and/or starting over are RINOcare or single-payer.

This lady was willing to force everyone else to pay as long as her “promised” $53 premium remained the same. Now she’s crying about have to work more to afford the premiums ... how about the young family that was already just barely getting by that you forced into buying expensive coverage they neither wanted or needed and now have to work more? That was okay?

i want govt to get the hell out of healthcare entirely. repeal and get the hell out of the way.
people like her did this to so many other people and made their lives so much worse. hard to really feel sympathy for her, we warned her repeatedly, and everyone else this would be a complete disaster, and we were screamed at, spit on, called racist and a bunch of other epithets including wishes we would die, painfully, and that they’d enjoy dancing on our graves.

The one time in my 50-odd years I got a quote on insurance they wanted three hundred seventy something a month for catastrophic with a $10,000.00 deductible. That’s not insurance, that’s paying for someone elses care. That was 4 or 5 years ago. I declined.
