According to this book, which I recommend everybody who caries should read, she didn’t fire to kill. She did what it calls “display behavior.” Display behavior is why cops can fire 80 rounds at near point blank and miss. It’s deadly to do this.
Perhaps she recognized the “youts” and decided not to hurt them.
