Devo founding guitarist Bob Casale died Monday after medical complications unexpectedly led to heart failure, his brother Gerald said. Bob Casale was 61.
Bob had recently been hospitalized due to stomach ailments, his brother said when reached by phone Tuesday, but had been thought to be recovering. Gerald said his brother was otherwise in good health and had been working on numerous Devo-related projects.
"During testing, he de-stabilized. They were a little flummoxed," Gerald said. "He was sitting up, talking and the next thing he was in an ER, life-and-death situation. His blood pressure dropped too low and they couldn't stabilize it in time."(continued)

Rest in peace. :(
Wondering if his “stomach ailments” were actually a symptom of heart problems.
We’ll probably have to wait for an autopsy report to find out.
No one heard of cancer and medical mysteries didn't seem to occur that much.
NOW ... with "modern medicine" and enough foreign agents to fill three PDR's available to the practitioner ... many strange things happen in hospitals and at the hands of a doctor.
Except Ben Carson ............ for President.
Devo - Mongoloid
Devo - “Girl U Want”
Devo Ton O’ Luv & Freedom Of Choice & Gates Of Steel
Devo were way ahead of their time.
Are we not men?
Devo had the best cover ever doing the Stone’s Satisfaction. Even Mick liked it better:
Smart Patrol/Mr. DNA
What a shame. May he rest in peace.
Bob has DEVOlved, as we all shall. We are Devo.
I still like their music.
