If he loses, he’ll collect a 4th pension, social security and free healthcare for life. But it’s worth it to get rid of him.
Elected officials should be well compensated for their time and efforts, but no elected official should ever collect a pension. For one thing, politics at ANY level shouldn't be a full-time job. Secondly, there's no reason for anyone to spend enough time in public office to consider it a "career."
There should be NO PENSIONS or any other post office benefits for elected officials. NONE.
This alone would serve very effectively as a de facto term limiter.
