Quinn and Rose are off the air, (temporarily, I hope!) Gone, but DEFINITELY not forgotten! Meanwhile, our friendly group of dedicated FReeper Q&R fans will meet in our usual spot - same time, same station - as we always have! With no Q&R I’ve somewhat taken to watching Highway Patrol retuns when I get home...
Showing my age I remember seeing them when they first aired.
How difficult would it be for Q&R to put up a facebook type website and post a daily 15 minute or 1/2 hour commentary ?
From what I gathered in the post I made on yesterday’s thread WPGB is really hurting because they don’t have Q&R in the morning! The most cost effective thing they could do would be to bring them back. Not likely but stranger things have happened in radio.
Or at least post on their website. I checked their website yesterday and nothing new. I am off FB permanently. Do either of them have a FB page?

Man, I sure do miss Quinn. I’d love to be able to pick his brain right now with Kiev burning & Caracas in an uproar. His analysis would be, as always, spot-on & invaluable.

It’s almost March. Hopefully they’ll be free to start a new show soon.
When Chris Plante was fired from WMAL a couple of years ago, there was such an uproar that they brought him back. He’s been going strong ever since. Is it possible that the execs at WPGB could see how their loss is KDKA’s gain and get them back? WPGB didn’t just lose Pittsburgh listeners - they lost a lot of other people who aren’t from the Pittsburgh area. I wonder if other stations - like in Rochester, NY - have had the same results in competing stations.

Yeah, I’ve thought about Quinn often during the events of the last few months.
All of the stations that lost Q&R are probably hurting!

I kinda got swallowed up reading the voy threads...a lot of Yinzers take their tv news presentation VERY seriously!
As to “our” Q&R...would a podcast (no adv) off their OWN webpage be a breach of the non compete? And like sneakers, I too am long GONE from FB...but on Twitter Quinn ONLY interacts/responds to troll types...NOT Tweeps who are on the same page and trying to engage in conservative conversation. He doesn’t even “favorite” things posted to his tweets. I’ve noticed that his tweets are fewer...and a lot of the “biggies” (like Michelle Malkin, TheRealJamesWoods etc) will interact w/humorous little Tweeps. Anyways, he should interact a tax more w/the fanbase (his followers) on Twitter.

Not sure about the non compete and website. That may or may not have been included in the contract. Since it’s CC it probably is covered.
We didn’t get winds overnight but they are picking up now. I just took the truck out of the garage to check a couple of things before mrs p6 takes it to work. The rain really started to pour and I got drenched, LOL!
I’d love to see what 104.7’s ratings are now.

Interesting that Bob FM has higher ratings than DVE for last month.
DVE is another one that has basically taken their morning show into the ditch.
Someone from CC is probably driving around looking for guys on curbs holding signs that say “Will Host Morning Show For Food”.
