Fine, but also MF, honky, cracker and every other unsportsmanlike slur or insult.
Taunting is penalized in college. Not sure about pro.
Nothing wrong with injecting some civility, back into the game and into society.
What if golfers trash talked each other? Those guys can’t even break wind or cough.
I’m sick of this being the only bad word there ever could be. The only absolutely taboo word. It’s so special.
How about penalties for all the other bad words?
The wild world of sports has gone completely nuts if this is all they can talk about. Namecalling!!!?
Which is why I quit watching sports years ago. With one exception: hockey fights. These are highly entertaining & worth the time. Hockey fights represent the best value for the cost of admission & give the fans what they want most out of a game.
No N word? How about blacks calling whites ‘HONKY’, ‘CRACKER’ or ‘WHITY’?
However, if they do I want BOTH spellings given the same treatment as I am sick of liberal defending those who say “Nigga” and claim its a cultural term that is okay. I have seen plenty a white guy sink for using that one too.
I want both versions banned from the music they all listen to as well.
But, I am just rambling here...in reality this is an idiotic ploy that could never be enforced to begin with and it will never be enforced fairly.
“Section 3 Unsportsmanlike Conduct
Article 1 There shall be no unsportsmanlike conduct. This applies to any act which is contrary to the
generally understood principles of sportsmanship. Such acts specifically include, among others:
(a) Throwing a punch, or a forearm, or kicking at an opponent even though no contact is made.
(b) The use of abusive, threatening, or insulting language or gestures to opponents, teammates, officials,
or representatives of the League.
TAUNTING
(c) The use of baiting or taunting acts or words that engender ill will between teams.
(d) Individual players involved in prolonged or excessive celebrations. Players are prohibited from
engaging in any celebrations while on the ground. A celebration shall be deemed excessive or
prolonged if a player continues to celebrate after a warning from an official.
(e) Two-or-more players engage in prolonged, excessive, premeditated, or choreographed celebrations.
(f) Possession or use of foreign or extraneous object(s) that are not part of the uniform during the game
on the field or the sideline, or using the ball as a prop.”
Seems to me like this is already covered. Shocking, I know. Doesn’t stop them from executing fruity capering and chest pounding displays either.
Freegards

I’m just sain don’t chu nO.
