Today's feature is legendary director Howard Hawks' 1948 Technicolor musical remake of his earlier 1941 screwball comedy take on Snow White and the seven dwarfs-"Ball of Fire". Starring funnyman Danny Kaye is his fifth and final film with beautiful blond Republican actress and Ronald Reagan supporter and friend Virginia Mayo.

She was famous for her peaches and cream complexion. Supposedly the Sultan of Morocco said of Miss Mayo’s complexion that it was ‘tangible proof for the existence of God.’

While I prefer Ball of Fire, I quite like this remake.
