Cenk Uygur Blasts Greg Abbott for Campaigning with ‘Sexual Predator’ Nugent (2014 Dem talking point)

Although Ted Nugent has offered something he calls an apology for calling President Obama a “sub-human mongrel,” that doesn’t mean his career as political liability to Texas Attorney General and GOP gubernatorial candidate Greg Abbott is over.

Aside from Nugent’s other unclaimed Nazi rhetoric baggage, The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur points out that the aging rocker’s documented past defending his right to keep and bare teenagers makes him a bad campaigner for a supposed “family values” candidate.

Using clips from a 1998 VH1 documentary on Nugent, Uygur details the bizarre manifestation of the musician’s “addiction to girls"...

Wendy Davis’ supporters are already panicked to be engaging in this sort of smear (and I learned of it from a radio newsbreak).

Wendy may not make 40% in the general.

Are there going to be any major third party challengers this time?

Especially since they seemed to forget, she isn't running against Ted Nugent.

If Nuge was a card-carrying NAMBLA pedophile, the libtards wouldn’t make a peep.

Wendy may not make 40% in the general.

There's some risk her main value (p!ssing away massive national progressive donations in a losing campaign) may never happen. She's failing too quickly.

I can’t believe Ted Nugent is a negative with voters. Maybe with the clueless political class, but that’s about it.

Jeremiah Wright was 20 years Obama’s mentor. He was the “man who brought Obama to Jesus”. He was the man who married Barack and Michelle.

Yet his association with the hateful (not merely controversial) Mr. Wright and the treasonous terrorist Bill Ayers were “off the table” in 2008 and 2012.

I loathe the socialist media networking sites.

I linked this story so FReepers (and history) would know of the smear campaign.

I wonder if Greg Abbott could even name more than 2 Ted Nugent songs or has any of his books in his library?

Ted was a professing atheist in the mid-80s. Don’t know if he “turned his life around” or if it is just more politically popular now to be for “God” and guns. Doesn’t matter to me anyhow, it’s between Ted and his maker.

Obama let Roman Polanski walk. I don’t want to hear tales of political corruption and sexual scandal if both parties aren’t going to be held to similar standards.

Whatever Ted did do, it did NOT involve slipping pills to a 13 year old and then engaging in double sodomy with her when she protested “entry”.

He says what he really thinks.

This is now considered aberrant behavior.

Just to keep up with the leftists doublethink, Having a corrupt judge and uncle keep you out of Vietnam is good (Bill Clinton) becoming filthy derilict to avoid the draft is bad. A man in his 40’s drugging and sodomizing a 13 year old girl on the casting couch is good (Roman Polanski) and consentual sex between a 17 year old groupie and a 30 year old rocker is bad.

I don’t condone Nugent’s decisions, and knowing this makes me think less of him, but ol’ Cenk sure is picky about what will “outrage” him.

What’s a “Cenk Ungur”? And why should I care what he/she/it thinks about anything?

Many rockers engaged in such antics to avoid service in Vietnam.

The Turtles took copious amounts of drugs before reporting and then “played crazy”.

Jimi Hendrix allegedly acted queer (he’d already served stateside).

Don’t know what Billy Gibbons’ method was but he hinted at something in a recent magazine interview.

It doesn’t excuse the behavior but it wasn’t running away to Canada either or rallying yutes in the streets to burn a draft card and carry a North Vietnamese Communist flag either.

Former MSNBC talking head who’s outburst (don’t know where) has been making the rounds in a “smear Greg Abbott” campaign.

Just as I wanted to be aware of the memes when they tried tarnishing Ted Cruz as a tax dodger.
