Doctor Eric Berne, in his book "Games People Play", had a category of such games called "Party Games".

One such game was "Schlemiel", which required a pococurante-type guest, who would make an "accidental" mess, and then soak up the attention given in forgiving him for his faux-pas.

On Benghazi, Barry’s pococurante
And now Susan Rice just raised the ante
Still stands by her story
Self-congratulatory
Lying noses that outgrow Durante

There is no excuse for pococurante in this church or in Venezuela when evil is allowed to run rampant and is ignored by the MSM.
In other news, I pity NJ which is due to get another blast of la nieve tomorrow. Enough already. I'm glad I am off shovel duty.

i have read at least a half dozen upsetting things this AM, already.

I am still incensed over the Susan Rice statements on Sunday. She admits that the information she had given on Benghazi "was not 100% correct." That is right out of the Clintonian "meaning of 'is'" playbook.

While, technically, a statement that is 0% correct is, in fact, "not 100% correct," by couching her phrase that way, she tries to imply that her statement (that Benghazi was caused by a demonstration about a video that got out of hand) was partially, or even mostly correct. In other words, by saying "not 100% correct," a low-info voter might assume it was 98% correct or 90% or something of that nature. 0% doesn't really enter the mind.

and these people are never called on these ridiculous statements. it’s one of the reasons for my depression over the news, no counterpoint is ever given to the blatant lies and distortions of truth.

If you go to the streets among the "homeless" and pococurante, it's doubtful you'll get any of them to budge from their perch (unless it's to the Benefits office or liquor outlet) ...

Some days I have to turn off the news and watch mindless sitcoms - but the attacks by network tv on conservatism is almost comical in the constant, ridiculous zeal. Last night, on The Blacklist, the villian was shown in a photo with Alan West, and in another photo with Ted Cruz. Instead of ticking me off it made me laugh that it was so obvious.

He reads from Nixon’s playbook,
Is owned by Chicago mafia dudes-
That is why many only like Obama
In the most pococurante of moods

As long as he is playing golf
Or publicly humiliating Michelle
He hasn’t got his nose in stuff
That sends the economy to hell

He is somewhat like Jimmy Carter,
Doing a green and terrible job-
But I’m more reminded of Nixon
With all his friends in the mob...

el cambio climático es un trabajo de nieve

Less than perfect translation-but it fits...

I believe that “hopeless” is missing from the vocabulary in those of us Reagan dubbed the silent majority-but the sheep everywhere are definitely not going to like the way they are awakened, kicked in the ass and have to either put up or shut up.

My dad was a career military officer, as were both my husbands-and I must say that I don’t believe it is smart to screw with the military, no matter who is in office...
