WASHINGTON (AP) - Federal health regulators will consider this week whether to green light a provocative new fertilization technique that could eventually create babies from the DNA of three people, with the goal of preventing mothers from passing on debilitating genetic diseases to their children.
The Food and Drug Administration has framed its two-day meeting as a "scientific, technologic and clinical" discussion about how to test the approach in humans. But the technique itself raises a number of ethical questions, including whether the government should sanction the creation of genetically modified humans.

These people have NO IDEA what they’re fooling with.
Just because you could create an 800 lb tarantula by altering genetics doesn’t mean you should. We are playing with fire and the left has been watching too many sci-fi and fantasy movies. Now they truly believe they can do this stuff in real life. Well they’re forgetting one really important thing. “Monster” movies are written by men with them always winning in the end. You do this type of experimentation and those endings may become reality with a different outcome.
The fact that the FDA is contemplating the risks of such actions - is scary.
Playing with the basic genetics of the human being especially with using genes from three people is nonsense. I agree with some of the others here that the real reason it is even being discussed is because of pressure from the most radical of the gays and lesbians.
It is the usual case of some segments of a group of people who are so obnoxious and demanding that they make ‘normal’ people angry at the entire larger group. Even tho I do not condone homosexual activity, there are some folks who are not obnoxious and, in fact, just want to be left alone. I fear for the latter, as their flamboyant, exhibitionist homosexual ‘friends?’ are going to bring them grief eventually.
The only good that come if this not having to argue over what color outfit to put them in when they’re born; no blue or pink anymore; just put them in their rainbow colored footsies. It will be funny watching them guess if it’s going to be a goy or a birl then watch them grow up and get totally confused on which sex they’re supposed to me. No more of those lesbians wishing they were men or vice versa. Now they will never figure it out.

We ‘play G-d’ all the time when it comes to modern medicine. I have no problem with trying to cure or prevent these horrible diseases.

I would say to that:
a) Why would you want to do that unless one of your goals is to destroy the sanctity of marriage, and
b) isn’t it possible that it’s a pretense for the reasons that they really want to do that particularly in context of the current socio-political promotion of the gay lifestyle and gay “marriages” on TV where they have to adopt their children which are almost, coincidentally, the same sex as they are?
If they have both sex organs then they can self-produce. I don’t think you really understand the depth of the depravity and immorality this society has become where ethics and morals are merely considered obstacles rather than guidelines. Scientists no longer heed the warnings. They just look “forward” to achieving whatever they can conceptualize irregardless of the hrm it can cause as long s it produces profits for their paymasters. The evil villains and madmen on James Bond films are no longer fictional. They exist.
They think they can genetically eliminate all heterosexual behavior.
