Zero degrees this morning here. Schools didn’t even bother with a delay or anything.

i guess the mainstream media doesn’t find it compatible with their impression of Pope Frank, to be ragging on their comrades, so they have kept his pleas quiet.

Oh, no! Are you too anguished to work?

Reminds me of the apocryphal story about the ballplayer, let’s say Yogi Berra, who goes out to dinner. When they serve the bread, he gets one pat of butter.

He asks for another. The lady says “One per customer.”

He says “Don’t you know who I am?”

“No.”

“I’m Yogi Berra!”

“Don’t you know who *I* am?”

“No.”

“I’m the lady who passes out the butter. One per customer.”

very similar to DMV employees— they have the power to control your life in this one tiny area and dammit they are going to make sure they get the most out of it.

i am aware of that, but i have far too much contact in life with these gods/goddesses of their little niche in life who like to make sure that you know they call the shots.

We are supposed to have a couple of warm days-up to the 70’s-then cold again-groundhog day...

I can’t name many in the DC pack
Who aren’t labeled scattergood-
They’d spend our last pennies
If they thought they could

They say government’s money,
They must think we are dumb-
They forget that some of us
Know where it comes from-

It comes from our paychecks,
As it leaves our budgets bare
But Obama’s minions want more
To throw around without a care

I saw the latest McDonald’s frivolous lawsuit this morning on the news-how I would love to see the Edwards-wanna-bes smacked down every time they filed a frivolous suit, which clutter the courts and delay every suit that actually has merit...

It makes me want to hold my breath till I turn blue, so I can only imagine how you feel about it...

I was looking at the obamacare website - seriously who in their right mind (although knowing I'm referring to democrats I answered my own question) could possibly think that a family could pay for that crappy insurance?

For my husband and I alone it would be nearly $1000 dollars for policies with $6000 deductibles. Even those who qualify for subsidies will still have a very large deductible. It is insane
