I love the banana kicks and especially the bicycle kicks. I can't imagine attempting one. I was good at curving the ball, though. In a youth league, I scored three goals directly on corner kicks one season. I'm still proud of that ;-)

I’m not a huge fan of soccer by any means, but I don’t understand the hate it generates. Seems like it has it’s good points and bad points just like any sport.
For me, I don’t like the flopping that goes on, but I probably have only seen clips so I don’t even know how much it really happens. Can the players self police the jerks or or does the penalty system preclude that?
I do like how they can get the ball to knuckle through the air by kicking it so it doesn’t spin, very hard for the goalie to read and react to I imagine. Probably the only other sport besides baseball to take advantage of the knuckleball effect, at least that I can think of.
